Oblique, theta, expansion wave, isentropic, corner, deflections and interactions, Mach number,
Prandtl-Meyer flow, boundary layer separation, delta.

-An avalanche of words coming out of the teachers mouth hitting my brain in the most random, confusing manner, as I fight to stay awake in the Gas Dynamics class today.

The Thoughts He Thinks

Once again, I'm in the crowd,
Applauding for you.
Once again, I'm behind the monitor,
Praising the scenery behind you.
Once again, I'm by your side,
Marvelling at your watch.
Once again, I'm infront of the speakers,
Approving at the clarity of your voice.
Yet with every clap,
Every word of praise,
Every thought,
Every nod of approval,
I kill the voice inside of me,
That questions,
That doubts,
That suspects,
My fate, my capabilities,
The impartiality of justic.
But, as one part of me resolves,
To never give up,
The other part fears the worst:
That once again,
I'll be there;
Applauding, Praising, Marvelling, Approving.

I dont know why I feel this ungrateful. But its at these dark times that I try to tell myself that I must learn the biggest lesson of life: to accept that everyone has a fate of his own, and thats just the way it is.

A Prayer

I'd just like to ask everyone who reads this blog to please pray for my friends in Houston, who are at the moment right in the middle of the danger zone created by Hurricane Rita.
And specially for Farrukh. May Allah be with you and your family at all times.

The Origins of Katrina and Rita

With the ongoing calamity in New Orleans and more recently the one in in Houston and nearby areas, one is left to ponder if all this too has to do with terrorism. personally speaking, I believe it does. this too is a result of terrorist activity. the terrorism spread by the US all over the world. comeon i mean, u cant expect the cries of bereaved mothers, the wails of hungry children and the screams of devasted widows to go unheard, do u? thousands of innocent people killed mercilessly in Iraq and Afghanistan, more so being tortured in God knows where. If the president thought he could get away with it all, he's got another thought coming. come to think of it, he doesnt have many thoughts coming his way normally does he? this is just a taste of what could be worse things to come for them. yeah i know there are alot of innocent people becoming victims of Rita and Katrina (on another day, this line wouldve sounded obscene), but thats the way it is. God decided to use a small amount of His Weapons of mass destruction on those that proclaimed to erase the ones on earth. I just hope, that by some miracle, these events lead the Americans (and others supporting them blindly) to realize that what goes around, comes around, and these hurricanes arent just a series of random unfortunate events. theyre much much more than that.

Questionable Fate

I just calculated my Carnot CGPa....for non mechanical engineers, that means the maximum possible cumulative gpa i can achieve...and it comes out to 3.78.........3.78!!!! can u believe it?? i was on 3.82 before this bloody semester 5 ended....sigh...i worked my ass of (well not really, but still worked quite hard) for the first four semesters..i coulve gotten a record high gpa in the 3.8 something category...and JUST ONE BLOODY RESULT has thrown me all the way down ...some people say its not such a serious matter..but for me i guess it is..i personally think its not fair that i go down SO badly...there were elements which i believe i did not have control over during my final exams...my sessionals saw me safely above 3.5. this really sicks man..just isnt fair...but like one person i know says, life isnt fair...how right she is.

The Last Two Months

well for those who missed out on the happening of my life in the past two months (coz...er i HADNT been blogging since), heres a quick recap:

The Good things that happened to me:
  1. I got my checque from Toyota for my internship.
  2. I got my checque from Siemens (after SIX MONTHS!! )
  3. I got the civillian appoinment at my university (non-PNECians can skip this bit)
  4. I got the chance to participate at the ITCN Asia this year(and yeah I personally thought it was a really good experience for me)
  5. I FINALLY (i repeat FINALLY) got the chance for compering in a college function.
  6. I turned 22 ( no further increase in my pocket money, or increase in the boundaries of my liberty, but still..)

The Bad things that happened to me:

  1. After four semesters, I lost my grip on the first positions spot in my class, and ended up losing a hell off of my cumulative gpa.
  2. See point number 1
  3. See point number 2
  4. See point number 3
  5. See point number 4
  6. See point number 5
  7. See point number 6

so I guess you can see that more bad things happened to me than good things..but I did have a grand time. now though its back to reality..and time to get back to work...hope it doesnt stop me from blogging though..
